About the Opportunity
Wilkinson & Associates is proud to be partnering with a forward-thinking, purpose-led bank to appoint a Finance Manager. This role will appeal to someone who enjoys being close to the heart of financial operations but is also energised by process improvement, system change and supporting the business through data-driven insight.
You'll work closely with the Head of Finance and senior leadership, with the opportunity to shape how the function evolves and, in time, lead a small team.
What You'll Be Doing
Oversee the day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and ledger management
Deliver accurate and insightful monthly management accounts and financial reporting
Support the budgeting, forecasting and planning processes
Develop and mentor junior finance team members as the team grows
Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, systems, and controls
Support internal and external audit requirements, ensuring regulatory compliance
Act as a key finance liaison for other internal teams
Help maintain integrity of financial data and systems
What We're Looking For
Experience:
Strong background in financial operations and management reporting, ideally in a regulated or financial services environment
Proven track record of working with accounting systems and Excel at an advanced level
Experience mentoring or managing junior finance staff
Audit, regulatory, or FP&A exposure would be advantageous
Skills & Attributes:
Qualified accountant with post-qualified experience.
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
Strong communicator, confident in presenting financial insight to stakeholders
Collaborative, proactive and solutions-oriented
