Morris & Spottiswood is seeking a meticulous and proactive
Finance Manager
to join our team in Glasgow.
Role Overview:

Key areas of responsibility:
Technical:
Manage and oversee daily finance operations, including Payroll, Purchase Ledger, Subcontractor Ledger and Credit Control
Prepare, consolidate and present monthly management accounts
Maintain compliance with HMRC regulations, including CIS, VAT, PAYE reporting
Perform regular Balance Sheet & Intercompany reconciliations
Conduct cash forecasting and management
Collaborate with finance teams throughout the M&S Group and its subsidiaries
Work closely with Commercial Teams to support business objectives
Involvement with preparation of statutory accounts
Liaise with Auditors & Corporation tax professionals
Provide financial insights and support to the Financial Controller
Additional Adhoc duties
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in a similar finance management role
Minimum of 5 years of post-qualified experience in ACCA, or a similar qualification
Strong knowledge of financial processes and regulations, including UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice
Experience with Microsoft Navision or Business Central
Experience in the Construction Industry
Excellent organisational and leadership skills
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
