Finance Manager

A well established and expanding agency based near Maidstone and Rochester seeks a highly capable Finance Manager to support our CEO and Head of Finance and the wider business and to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function in a purpose led, fast paced SME.

The successful candidate will be a true finance all-rounder, confident in handling the full breadth of financial operations, from handling daily accounting transactions and reconciliations to management reporting and financial analysis.

This is a varied role using Sage 50 accounting software, Quickbooks and Clarity system. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 5 years experience of working with Sage 50 Professional, Quickbooks and Excel plus a minimum of 7 to 10 years accounting experience.

This role requires you to be organised, thorough, curious about systems and processes, and meticulous in attention to detail. This role would suit someone who takes pride in getting the core elements of finance absolutely right, but who can step back and provide higher-level financial analysis and reporting that supports decision making.

Work to include but not limited to:

Oversee the day to day accounts/admin function

Oversee and contribute to Accounts Payable and Receivable

Banking, online receipts and payments, Bank Reconciliations

Nominal Ledger, Journals and Management Accounts

Experience of Payroll administration, overtime and commission calculations

Weekly, monthly and annual reporting and month end deadlines

Attendance and contribution at team meetings

Experience of other company administrative tasks including Health & Safety, HR, Insurance and other renewals as required.

Candidates must be flexible and confident, with strong organisational and administrative skills plus have good communication with customers and suppliers and be able to act independently.

Hours of work office based 37.5 hours a week .

Salary: Dependant on experience in the range of 38 to 42k per annum. Discretionary annual performance bonus.

Holiday: 20 days per annum plus Bank Holidays. Pension contribution scheme. Free on-site parking, car driver required due to location.
