Chandler Garvey is one of the leading firms of property consultants in the greater Thames Valley region, with a network of offices in Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day financial operations of the management department and wider company. This is a full time role comprising 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday 9-5.30pm at our Head Office in High Wycombe.

Key Responsibilities



Complete day-to-day financial operations, including invoicing, supplier payments, arrears management, tenant recharges, banking, and reconciliations.

Ensure compliance with RICS client money regulations and manage all aspects of client and landlord accounting.

Prepare and issue service charge demands, complete reconciliations, and produce year-end audit packs.

Manage statutory obligations, including VAT and PAYE submissions and payments, and liaise with HMRC as required.

Prepare and process payment runs (BACS, CHAPS, faster payments) and handle client transfers.

Drive improvements in financial systems, processes, controls, and reporting across the management department.

Provide financial insight, analysis, and recommendations to the Head of Management to support effective business planning.

Respond to day-to-day financial queries, both internal and external, in a professional and timely manner.

Coordinate with external accountants and auditors, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

Skills & Competencies



A minimum of five years relevant experience in finance or accounting, ideally within property management, agency, or professional services.

An understanding of property management accounts, including service charge accounting and client money handling.

Proficient in accounting software, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insight.

Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a confident and professional telephone manner.

Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.

Resilient under pressure, able to meet strict deadlines and maintain a positive, proactive attitude.

Salary dependant on experience. Free parking available and other staff benefits.
