Institutional Retirement is the only insurer to have been operating continuously in the UK market from our entrance in 1987 to the present day. Our UK retirement annuity book stands at an estimated 86.1 billion at 31 December 2023.
Across our retail and institutional retirement businesses, we look after more than 1 million customers, around c.700,000 of whom are institutional customers who have had their retirement benefits secured with us.

We're recruiting for a Finance Manager- Institutional Retirement to join us. We're offering a competitive base salary.
We're growing, and so is our Institutional Retirement Finance team. As our remit expands, we're looking for a Finance Manager who enjoys improving how things work, supporting change, and helping deliver high-quality financial reporting. If you're someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is curious about how financial processes can be made better, and wants to contribute to new developments across products, asset classes and structures, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing:

• Driving enhancements to financial processes and tools across the Institutional Retirement Finance team
• Developing a strong understanding of business performance to support consistent and accurate reporting
• Supporting the day-to-day financial accounting processes, including controls, reconciliations and reviews
• Monitoring accounting inputs and coordinating accounting deliverables across the division and Group
• Supporting accounting assessments for new or amended products, reinsurance transactions and asset classes
• Designing and improving processes linked to new business developments and transformation activities
• Collaborating with teams across Finance to ensure high-quality, timely reporting outputs
• Contributing to fair customer outcomes by supporting robust reporting processes and controls

Qualifications
Who we're looking for:

• A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Strong fundamental accounting knowledge, including IFRS reporting
• Experience in financial reporting, technical accounting or audit
• The ability to analyse data, maintain strong internal controls and ensure accuracy
• Experience contributing to change, transformation or process improvement
• Strong communication skills with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels
• A collaborative working style, with the ability to build positive relationships
• Curiosity, initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving
