Here at Greens Team Ltd, and its associated companies, we specialise in creating natural set dressings for film and television productions. Operating for nearly 20 years, we've been part of many award-winning productions, including 1917, Barbie, Wonder Woman and Maleficent.

To support the continued growth of our 12m turnover business and to ensure our finance processes run smoothly, we are looking for a hands-on, commercially minded Finance Manager to lead our day-to-day finance function.

About the Role



This role is ideal for an ACCA/CIMA qualified (or finalist) finance professional who enjoys owning the numbers, improving processes, and working closely with leadership to improve financial performance.

You will manage a small team of two, ensure robust financial controls, produce reliable month-end reporting, oversee intercompany accounting, and support forecasting, budgeting, and analytics. You will also be mentored by an experienced fractional CFO, giving you an excellent opportunity to develop strategic finance capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:



Financial Management & Reporting



Own the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow reporting. Deliver management accounts with clear variance analysis and insights. Maintain strong financial controls, reconciliations, and audit readiness. Oversee intercompany accounting, eliminations, and reconciliations.

Forecasting, Budgeting & Analytics



Produce rolling cashflow forecasts, working capital analysis, and short-term projections. Support annual budgeting processes and periodic reforecasts. Provide commercial insight, KPI reporting, and trend analysis to support decision-making. Develop dashboards and reporting packs for leadership.

Team Leadership



Manage, support and develop two Accounts Assistants, ensuring high performance and clear responsibilities. Oversee AP, AR, credit control, bank reconciliations, expenses, and payroll processes (outsourced provider). Foster a culture of efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Process Improvement & Systems



Review and streamline finance processes, identifying automation and efficiency opportunities. Maintain finance systems (Xero) and ensure accurate data. Drive process documentation and standardisation across the finance function.

Compliance & External Relationships



Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements (VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax). Manage outsourced payroll providers to ensure accurate, timely processing. Liaise with external advisors where required, including tax support and statutory submissions. Support the fractional CFO on higher-level initiatives, funding, and strategic projects.

About You - Skills & Experience



Essential



ACCA / CIMA qualified. Proven experience in an SME finance manager, senior accountant, Big 4 or similar role. Strong understanding of month-end, management accounts, and financial controls. Experience managing or mentoring junior staff. Good knowledge of intercompany transactions and reconciliations. Confident with forecasting, cashflow management, and financial analysis. Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems (we use Xero).

Desirable



Experience in a multi-entity environment. Prior exposure to working alongside a CFO or leadership team. Experience improving processes or implementing financial system enhancements.

Personal Attributes



Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced SME environment. Highly organised with strong attention to detail. Commercially minded with the ability to explain numbers clearly. A collaborative manager who develops and supports their team. Driven to improve processes and help scale the business.
