You will be a commercially-minded and fully qualified accountant, with substantial experience operating of a Finance Manager or Financial Controller role within an SME organisation.
The company is growing and you will be joining as the most senior finance staff member- you will join as part of the senior management team and will be responsible for...

• Preparing all management and financial reports
• Attending board meetings and presenting financials
• Creating financial models and preparing analysis
• VAT Returns
• Budgeting and Forecasting
• Overseeing a small team of 3 across Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Training and motivating the small team, as well as recruiting (when needed)
• Overhauling existing systems/ processes when needed and generally adding commercial value to the business

The successful candidate for this role, will:

• Have substantial experience working as a Head of Finance, Financial Controller or Finance Manager within a small/ medium business (Preferably 5 years+)
• Be comfortable recruiting, training and managing a small team
• Be fully ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified
• Possess strong commercial nous, with the ability to review and subsequently improve existing processes and systems
• Be a superb communicator, comfortable liaising across all levels of the business and even externally when/ where required
