AshLea Medical Practice are seeking an experienced Finance Manager (part-time). The position is integral to the wider management team, managing the practice accounts using Xero and coordinating the financial operations of the practice to optimise efficiency and financial performance working alongside the Finance Lead Partner, Practice Manager and Accounts Assistant.
Outstanding organisational and interpersonal communication skills are essential to the success of all aspects of the role, facilitating relationship building with external suppliers and customers. The successful candidate will be well versed in presenting regular financial data and reports to the partners and practice management and will ensure financial controls and processes are in place and adhered to.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies aligned with organisational goals.
Oversee financial management activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Manage financial accounting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
Supervise accounts payable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
Monitor costs and implement cost control measures to optimise organisational efficiency.
Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management and stakeholders to inform strategic decisions.
Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations and standards across all operations.
Collaborate with other departments to support business growth initiatives through sound financial planning.
Experience
Proven experience in financial management within a similar industry or organisation.
Extensive knowledge of accounts payable processes and cost control techniques.
Excellent analytical skills
Prior experience in developing and implementing organisational budgets and forecasts.
The post requires flexibility to work outside of core hours to meet deadlines, 2 satisfactory references and a DBS check.
