We're now looking for a
Finance Manager
to take ownership of eduMe's financial operations across the UK and US. You'll ensure our financial foundations are strong and scalable - driving accuracy, efficiency, and insight across everything from accounting and compliance to cash flow and reporting. You'll work closely with our accountants, external partners, and leadership team to keep things running smoothly and support data-driven decisions.
We operate on a hybrid working schedule, spending 2-3 days per week together in our Southwark office in London.
What you'll do
Own the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, payroll (UK/US), and monthly close.
Manage outsourced partners to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Deliver accurate month-end close, flash numbers, and management reports using Xero and Excel.
Oversee cash flow forecasting, treasury management, and payment runs to maintain liquidity and risk control.
Lead credit control and ensure overdue invoices are followed up.
Coordinate and produce financial reports, board materials, and investor updates in partnership with the leadership team.
Ensure timely and compliant filing of all tax returns.
Manage the annual audit and ensure internal controls are documented and maintained.
Partner cross-functionally to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Maintain and continuously improve systems and processes.
Keep finance SOPs up to date and ensure consistency across all workflows.
What you'll need
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
2+ years post-qualification experience, ideally within a SaaS or startup environment.
Strong knowledge of UK & US GAAP, tax regulations, and financial compliance.
Experience managing multi-entity accounting and cross-border payroll.
Proficiency in Xero and Excel, with experience in finance automation tools .
Strong analytical and communication skills - able to turn numbers into actionable insights.
Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment.
