ROLE OVERVIEW:



We're seeking a proactive

Finance Manager

to join our fast-growing, Private Equity-backed Property Management business. This is a hands-on leadership role with full ownership of the finance function, reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the Board of Directors.

You'll lead the day-to-day finance team, act as a trusted business partner across departments, and drive key system and process improvements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with commercial flair who thrives on designing and implementing rigorous, insightful financial processes while contributing to strategic growth initiatives. This is a role for someone ambitious who is ready to learn from working closely with senior directors in a career enhancing finance manager role.

The Finance Manager will be joining the business at a pivotal time with a major company-0wide onshoring process and Finance team restructure now complete. The company is focused on the execution of our Growth Strategy including new proposition angles which this role would be involved in modelling and measuring. The pace of change and improvement will be rapid, and this role would suit someone goal oriented who thrives under pressure. There will be significant opportunity to gain experience across Property Management, Property law, Operations, HR, and all other Corporate Support Functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



Lead and manage the outsourced finance team: delegate tasks, coach, and develop talent, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Review and own all finance outputs, including balance sheet and P&L accountability.

Drive process improvements focused on automation and efficiency, minimizing manual work and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Map workflows, identify pain points, and lead implementation of operational changes, communicating progress to the Executive team.

Monitor weekly cash flow and develop strategies to optimise liquidity for growth.

Design and maintain financial and operational KPIs, providing actionable reports to the Exec team.

Own the month-end close process, including preparation of Board reports and commentary.

Lead forecasting, budgeting, and 3-year financial planning efforts.

Manage relationships with banks, investors, suppliers, contractors, and overseas partners, including audit coordination.

Collaborate closely with Sales leadership to enhance Council engagement and maximise pricing and margins.

Act as escalation point for client and tenant relationship issues.

Partner with multiple departments on commercial and operational projects, offering strategic financial insights.

Oversee payroll and maintain strong oversight of HR activities, handling confidential information with discretion.

Maintain strict cost control, ensuring spend is aligned with growth objectives.

Liaise with legal teams on ongoing litigation matters.

Stay informed on Property Management best practices, property law, and industry trends; support qualifications like ARLA.

Work with IT partners to optimise CRM and reporting tools, leveraging automation to enhance efficiency.

Support ad-hoc projects and commercial modelling as needed.

Drive process improvements by leveraging advanced Excel skills such as Power Query and Power Pivot to automate workflows, enhance data integrity and delivery faster, more accurate financial insights, as well as minimizing manual work and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:



Highly organised individual with an ability to prioritise and delegate a vast number of daily tasks and projects without letting anything 'fall off the radar'.

Strong communication skills particularly with a more junior overseas team and colleagues outside of Finance.

The ability to constructively challenge existing process, reporting and data whilst keeping team members motivated.

Exceptional Excel and ERP systems experience. Exceptional PowerPoint/Board level reporting deliverables experience.

High level of professionalism, discretion and maturity as this role will have sight of sensitive and confidential information.

Strong cashflow management experience.

A positive and resourceful attitude to challenges.

A sense of fun, camaraderie and teamwork is essential.

Desired - Some external/internal audit experience. Whilst Property Experience may be helpful, the right candidate can also learn on the job.

Essential - We are open to someone who is still studying or newly qualified in ACA/ACCA/CIMA or similar qualified. London based.
