Job Description

We are seeking a personable and detail-oriented Financial Manager to assist the Finance Director in overseeing the financial operations of two large sites in Spitalfields market - Alfi Italian Cocktail Bar & Restaurant and Players Social.

Both venues include F&B sales, private and corporate events and management of third party resellers and partners. Both businesses are run by a small and involved owner-manager team who work from the venue so a love for hospitality is key.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, analysing results and profitability. The successful candidate will ensure the organisation's financial health and increase the profitability through analysis of successful campaigns, partnerships and events.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in financial management and analysis to contribute to strategic decision-making and organisational growth. In 2026 we are migrating to a new POS and booking software so the applicant will have the opportunity to be involved in the creation of new reporting methods.

Duties



Prepare, analyse, and present accurate financial statements in accordance with recognised accounting standards. Assist with financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Maintain and optimise the organisation's utilisation of Xero Manage and report on all partners, third party resellers and platforms. Manage event revenue ensuring all group bookings are paid in advance Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic plans based on financial data insights. Assist operations team to maintain accurate COS reporting. Work alongside book keeper to maintain weekly and monthly reporting

Experience



Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Manager or in a similar senior finance role covering hospitality and events. Extensive knowledge of financial management principles and practices. Proficiency in Xero. Solid knowledge of VAT, Payroll and Tronc. Demonstrated ability to prepare detailed financial reports and analyse complex data sets. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA are desirable but not essential. This position is ideal for a motivated finance professional eager to utilise their expertise in a dynamic environment while contributing to organisational success through meticulous financial oversight.
Job Types: 4 - 5 days p/week

Pay: 40,000.00-50,000.00 per year
