We are a Busy and growing Industrial Packaging Company located in the Newton Heath of Manchester. We are seeking the right candidate to join our growing team. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager to lead our financial operations and drive organizational growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a comprehensive understanding of financial management within a dynamic environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, ensuring the organization's financial stability and integrity.
Objective of function
Managing financial reporting (Month, Quarter, Annual closing), budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, compliance, and strategic financial planning and ensuring adherence to the MDL processes and procedures.
Duties
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals
Oversee financial management activities including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Manage financial accounting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations
Supervise accounts payable functions and ensure timely processing of invoices
Monitor costs and implement cost control measures to optimize expenditure
Lead the preparation of financial reports for senior management and stakeholders
Ensure adherence to statutory requirements and internal policies
Provide leadership to the finance team, fostering professional development and high performance
Collaborate with other departments to support strategic initiatives through sound financial planning
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies as necessary
Main focuses:
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and company policies based on local GAAP trial balances on a monthly basi.
Ensure sufficient liquidity for operations and investments; manage working capital.
Conduct profitability analysis, cost control, and risk assessments to support management decisions.
Coordinate external audits; ensure adherence to tax laws and financial regulations.
Manage and mentor finance and office staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
Enhance financial systems and reporting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
Present financial insights to senior management, board members, and external partners.
Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Liaise with auditors, banks, tax authorities, and other financial institutions.
Requirement Profile
Education:
Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration. CPA is a plus
Skills
: Strong technical accounting knowledge and processing back ground.
US-GAAP and SOX knowledge is a plus
Experience with Sage is a must of three years minimum
OneStream is a plus
Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
Job Experience:
+5 years post qualification work experience in a leadership role in accounting and finance.
Other skills:
Hands-on mentality with the ability to work in a fast paced changing multi-national environment;
Strong communication & interpersonal skills;
Ability to partner with different levels in a matrix organization
