Senate Grand Prix is a UK based company that specialises in premium hospitality and accommodation packages for Formula 1 races.
Role Description
The finance department assistant requires excellent organisational and analytical skills to assist the Director of Finance with the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across various financial processes.
Reports to:
Director of Finance.
Roles & responsibilities:
- Accurately record bank receipts and reconcile to our CRM system.
- Upload sales invoices from our CRM system to Xero
- Credit notes
- Assist with Sales ledger debtor monitoring unpaid accounts and following up where necessary.
- Assist with preparation of month end debtors control account and reconciling aged debtor list.
- Undertake quarterly review of trade debtors and reconcile between source records and Xero to ensure any inaccuracies are identified
- Send payment links to clients wishing to pay by credit card
- Add information regarding receipts of funds from customers into our CRM system
- Organising & Managing Staff travel expenses
- Cash & Credit card management
- Liaise with Director of Finance regarding invoices that need to be paid
- Monitor Finance department email account in order and action as appropriate
- Enter purchase contract details in order to monitor instalment payments
- Work closely with all other departments in the business and the Directors in order to drive success throughout the Company.
Personal specification, skills and experience:
- AAT Qualified (Minimum Level 3) (or equivalent professional certification).
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Knowledge of working on a CRM system
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero and MS Excel essential).
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Interest in working in the F1 motor sports industry/ Events & Hospitality
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Willingness to be adaptable and support broader business admin functions as required from time to time in a growing SME business with a small team.
Essential to be able to attend Monaco F1 in May and June annually.
Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm
Location: office based - Newchapel, Lingfield, Surrey. Driving licence and car required due to remote location of office.
Salary: Competitive depending on experience
