Afon Veterinary Centre is currently recruiting a full time Finance Manager to work alongside our Practice Manager in day to day finance and administration functions in a busy independent veterinary practice.
You must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently. The ideal applicant will be AAT qualified.
Who we are ?
We are a long established, independent veterinary practice who pride ourselves in offering excellent care to our patients both large and small. We have branches in Neath, Pontardawe, Cwmafan and Maesteg. You will be joining the main team in Neath. We offer 24 hour care to our patients but you will be working 9 to 5, Monday to Friday. We offer 28 days holidays per annum, including bank holidays, increasing to 33 days with increasing length of service.
main tasks include:
Receiving and posting cash to our ledgers
Paying suppliers and managing business expenses
Verifying and entering financial information into Sage
Completing Bank reconciliations
General monthly management reports
Payroll processing and related tasks
VAT administration
Undertaking miscellaneous administration functions.
Requirements:
AAT Qualified
Previous experience in accounting software & data entry
You must be familiar and proficient with Sage 50 accounting and Sage payroll software
Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
Good organisational skills
Proficient in the use of Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
