Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and organised Finance Manager to join our friendly practice team at Strawberry Hill Medical Centre. This is a part-time role (22.5 hours per week/3 days), with flexibility on days for the right candidate. This is not a remote working position, the candidate will be required to work from the office.
The successful applicant will work closely with the GP partners and Practice Manager to ensure the smooth financial running of the surgery.

Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities include:

  • Day-to-day bookkeeping and financial management of the practice
  • Use of QuickBooks for financial record-keeping
  • Cash Flow Management
  • Preparation of financial reports to support GP partners in decision-making
  • Processing invoices, payments, and reconciliations
  • Supporting payroll and pension administration
  • Liaising with external accountants and stakeholders where required

Strawberry Hill Medical Centre is an NHS General Practice Surgery covering the north half of Newbury, Berkshire. We have over 22,000 patients registered with us which makes us one of the largest Practices in Berkshire.
With a strong clinical team including 11 GP Partners and large administrative departments we strive to provide the best possible care to our patients, using the most appropriate member of staff for their problem or concern, at the right time.
