Job Description

Vivid Broadcast has enjoyed a period of growth and now we have a unique opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our team.

This role is to support the Managing Director and Financial Controller by ensuring sound financial management, planning and reporting.

We are looking for a personable and proactive person to work with a great accounts team, who will contribute to developing our internal procedure and payment processes.

They will support and oversee Vivid's bookkeeping and accounting processes, and provide decisions on the day-to-day management of cash flow and cost control measures to ensure operational efficiency.

The Finance Manager will liaise with internal staff, freelancers and suppliers to process payments, provide guidance, resolve queries in a fast paced industry. The role will be based at our offices and facilities in Mayford, Woking.

Role Responsibilities



The role involves but is not limited to:

Provide sound financial management and strategic planning. Gatekeep financial queries on behalf of the Managing Director, providing decisions on prioritisation and query escalation. Report to the Financial Controller, working to develop Vivid's internal processes to reduce bottlenecks, improve speed and efficiency. Responsibility for ensuring adequate internal controls and the ongoing compliance policies, statutory requirements and maintenance of sound accounting systems. Manage payment approvals. Line Manage, supporting and assisting the management of workloads for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Cashflow forecasting, and central cost centre accounting, budgeting and forecasting and month end reports. Support Bookkeeping and provide insight and solutions to improve Vivid's processes. Checking invoices and track budgets to ensure projects are delivered within budget and on time. Work in collaboration with the production team, assisting with queries relating to client quotes and invoices. Develop relationships with external suppliers.

About you



As a small, busy independent broadcast company working with high profile clients, we are looking for someone who enjoys working within a team and variety in their day.

You will be expected to have at least 5 years experience working within an SME in a bookkeeping/accounts or Finance Manager capacity with good knowledge of HMRC regulations.

Experience within the TV broadcast or Production sector would be advantageous.

Due to our remote location, a valid driving licence is preferable.

Essential for this role is:

Part qualified or qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) Experience of working with systems such as Quickbooks and Planergy. Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements. Demonstrable problem-solving and analytical skills. An interest in working in the broadcast sector

The Role



The role is full time, Monday to Friday at our base in Mayford, Surrey.

Normal office hours are Monday to Friday, 09.00 - 17.30. Vivid operates a flexible working policy and unless meetings are planned or deadlines dictate, start time is between 08:00 - 10:00 with relative finish between 16:30 and 18:30.

Vivid operates in a 24/7 industry, so work during office hours, covers business operations carried out, outside of normal office hours.

Salary range for this role is between 40,000 to 50,000 per annum, based on your experience.
