Based at our head offices in Oldbury, you'll be a key member of the finance team and will make a valued contribution to the overall efficiency and performance of the department.

Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services and management, with a proven track record in cost control and financial accounting. This role requires exceptional leadership abilities and a strategic mindset to drive financial planning and ensure the organisation's financial health.

Working closely with the CFO, ensuring and maintaining strict adherence to financial reporting standards and company finance policies. The role requires multiple disciplines including but not limited to oversight of management accounts production, treasury function and other reporting requirements. The ability to maintain a strong working relationship with all finance functions to ensure procedures are adhered to. Working closely with staff to understand processes and resolve any issues within a timely manner, always proactively encouraging best practice. Liaising with external parties where required e.g. external auditors. Strong communication skills and ability to break down complex financial issues for non-financial departments.

Responsibilities



To oversee the day to day running of the Finance Department based in Oldbury and additional remote support teams based in India. Directing others and delegating tasks. Manage Finance team Leading month-end close and monthly accounts production, ensuring completed in a timely and accurate manner. Monitoring reporting systems, preparing accurate financial reports and statements, interpreting data. Mentor and develop the team members to improve skillset and exposure to different areas of finance function. Take lead finance role when liaising with customers and account managers to resolve disputes and queries. Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting and government returns, including but not limited to ONS, HMRC, Overseas VAT registration and other statistical returns. Support CFO in preparation, monitoring and reporting against budgets, forecasts and cashflow statements. -Take lead role developing relationships with external auditors, solicitor, bankers and other statutory organisations. Monitor and ensure balance sheet reconciliations have robust supporting schedules and can be agreed back to trial balance. Lead with the audit preparation work to allow for timely completion of annual financial statements Actively engage in the development of processes and procedures with ERP system Recruit, train and support team members Develop and implement financial strategies that align to business objectives work collaboratively with other departments to achieve company goals Ad hoc duties and projects

Skills



Working knowledge of accounting principles and standards under FRS, IFRS where applicable and UK GAAP rules Strong analytical skills Strong interpersonal skills ability to build collaborative relationships Good numeracy, literacy and IT skills, including excel. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Able to work as part of a team, and under own initiative Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Strong organisational skills Ability to plan and prioritise own workload for key tasks
