As a key member of the Management Team, the Finance Manager brings a strong financial background and a hands-on approach across all areas of finance. This role plays a vital part in driving best practices, streamlining processes, and supporting continuous improvement across the finance function. The Finance Manager provides day-to-day guidance and mentoring to the Finance and Accounts teams, ensuring routine tasks are completed accurately and on time, while supporting the team in achieving both individual and collective goals -- all whilst effectively managing their own workload. They also provide cover during periods of absence or holiday to ensure the smooth running of critical finance operations. The role requires strong communication skills, a proactive "will do" attitude, and excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work confidently with colleagues at all levels across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation and integration of new financial systems.
Drive continuous improvement and promote best practice across finance processes.
Work cross-functionally with Logistics, HR, and Sales teams to optimise workflows and data integration.
Directly manage and support a team of 4 across 4 different departments within the business.
Provide day-to-day support to the Accounts Manager and wider finance team, resolving queries and operational issues.
Ensure continuity of critical finance operations by providing cover during periods of absence or holiday.
Contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the finance function as part of the wider Management Team.
