OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for a
Finance Manager
(or a strong Finance Controller-level candidate) to take ownership of core accounting processes, oversee the transactional team, and ensure reporting is timely, accurate, and audit-ready. This is a newly formalised structure and you'll be joining at a point where you can make a real impact.
Key responsibilities include:
Ownership of AR, AP, and purchasing functions (small team of 3)
Delivery of timely, accurate monthly management accounts
Preparation of statutory accounts
Supporting the implementation of SAGE Intacct
Driving improvements in process, controls, and automation
Leading the implementation of reporting schedules and weekly project reporting
Working closely with 2 finance business partners
Contributing to the rollout of BI tools and live reporting dashboards
PERSON
You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a good grasp of both statutory and management reporting. Whether you're coming from a smaller practice or a commercial background, you'll need the mindset to improve processes and the confidence to take ownership from day one.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Strong technical accounting knowledge
Experience working with or for a service-based organisation (contract/tender-led ideal)
A hands-on approach to delivering accurate, consistent accounts
A process-improvement mindset and comfort with finance systems (SAGE experience is a bonus)
Drive to learn, automate and bring ideas to the table
Strong Excel and a desire to implement BI reporting/dashboarding
