Job Description

This role leads statutory reporting, audits, and financial governance for a major UK defence and engineering organisation. You'll mentor analysts, improve processes, and work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver accurate, compliant, and insightful financial reporting.
As Finance Manager, you'll play a central role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and insightful financial reporting across Defence UK&I. You'll be hands-on with statutory reporting and audit cycles, while also supporting and developing the Finance Analyst team and driving improvements in financial controls.   • Lead the actuals and quarterly statutory reporting processes, aligning with Group and Sector requirements.
  • Manage external audit cycles, acting as the key contact for auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee FX postings and statutory compliance, providing clear analysis and commentary.
  • Mentor and guide the Finance Analyst team, ensuring consistency and best practice.
  • Enhance financial controls, tools, and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.

  • Have experience managing and developing teams.
