We're looking to recruit a Finance Manager (Retail Investment) to be responsible for providing financial leadership across Retail operations, ensuring effective budgeting, cost control, shop performance review, and delivery of strategic initiatives, while acting as a key business partner to drive profitable growth.

This role is a 6 - 12 months' FTC to cover maternity leave.

What you will be doing:

Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for Retail operations, ensuring alignment with strategic and financial targets. Oversee and control Overheads spend, ensuring costs are managed effectively and deliver value to the business. Review and challenge shop performance metrics, including profitability, contribution, and cost efficiency. Analyse actuals vs budget / forecast, providing insights on variances, risks, and opportunities to improve financial outcomes. Partner with operational and commercial teams to support shop portfolio reviews, including closures, refreshes, and investment decisions. Drive performance monitoring through meaningful reporting on key value drivers, revenue, and cost lines. Support business cases for operational initiatives, ensuring robust financial challenge and governance. Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting tools to enhance decision making across Retail.

A Finance background and be a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Excellent financial planning and analysis skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with commercial acumen, with the ability to link operational performance to financial outcomes. Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities; experience with financial systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP, Power BI) is a plus. Stakeholder management and business partnering skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence at all levels with a good attention to detail. You'll be able to solve an array of problems and not be satisfied with a job half done.
