Responsibilities
As our Finance Manager, you will lead, mentor, and inspire the finance team to uphold high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency while fostering a growth mindset that encourages continuous improvement and professional development. You will primarily focus on analysing financial data to identify opportunities for improvement and drive efficiency. This includes overseeing the preparation of management packs and delivering high-level financial reports for the C-suite. Your insights and performance metrics will support departmental leadership, enabling informed decision-making and ensuring cost savings that exceed initial hiring investments.

Strategic Financial Leadership
Develop and execute long-term financial strategies aligned with organisational goals.
Provide financial direction for high-profile projects and resource allocation, ensuring optimal outcomes.

Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Prepare board reports and present financial performance to senior leadership.

Deliver insights that support strategic decision-making and drive financial optimisation.

Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead the budgeting process, setting financial targets and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Develop financial forecasts
Monitor budget performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.

Internal Controls & Compliance
Design and implement internal financial controls to safeguard company assets.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and audit standards.

Financial Strategy & Analysis
Provide strategic financial input to support business planning and decision-making.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
6.
Team Leadership & Development
Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals.
Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of finance staff.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and process efficiency.

Treasury & Risk Management
Oversee cash management, liquidity planning, and investment activities.
Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
Identify and mitigate financial risks, including currency, credit, and interest rate risks.
8.
Systems & Process Improvements
Implement or upgrade financial systems (ERP software).
Streamline financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure data integrity and leverage technology for better financial reporting.

Mergers & Acquisitions
Lead and support CEO with M&A activities, including due diligence, integration, and post-acquisition management.
Assess financial implications of potential acquisitions and mitigate associated risks.

Experience Requirements
Progressive Finance Roles with 5-10 years experience in accounting and finance with at least 3-5 years in a Management or Senior Finance Role.
Experience in roles such as Senior Accountant, Finance Manager or Head of Finance.
- Leadership & Team Management
Proven Track record in leading and developing Finance Teams
Hands on Experience preparing and presenting Financial Reports to executive teams or boards with a strong focus on analysing financial data to identify trends, assess performance, and provide insights that inform strategic decision-making.
Direct involvement in statutory reporting, tax fillings and compliance audits.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
Demonstrated ability to lead the budgeting process and deliver accurate forecasts.
Experience in Cost Control and Financial Performance Optimisation.
- Systems Implementation & Process Improvement
Experience in implementing or upgrading financial systems (ERP Rollouts)
Track record of process improvement and driving financial efficiencies.
Knowledge & Experience (Desired)
You would ideally have experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar accounts software, including system implementation, financial reporting, and process optimisation. Familiarity with general ledger management, budgeting, and reporting functionalities is highly desirable, along with the ability to leverage these tools to enhance financial workflows and support data-driven decision-making.
