Job Description

This Finance Manager role oversees all statutory and operational finance activities for the UK and German entities of an international distribution and manufacturing business. It offers autonomy, hybrid working, and the chance to work closely with global finance teams across Europe and the US.

• Manage all finance activities for UK & Germany legal entities
• Lead statutory processes: journals, reconciliations, month/year-end close
• Complete tax returns, VAT submissions, and statutory accounts
• Deliver treasury forecasting and cash management
• Lead internal and external audit requirements
• Prepare year-end schedules including tax packs and statutory filings
• Manage monthly forecasting and financial submissions
• Ensure compliance with SOX financial certifications
• Support wider European businesses (France, Italy, Spain)
• Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles
• Review and improve existing finance processes

A successful Finance Manager will ideally have:

• CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified or working already at this level but part-qualified or QBE
• Experience in multinational and multi?currency environments would be beneficial but not essential
• Strong technical accounting skills and understanding of statutory frameworks
• Advanced spreadsheet and analytical capabilities
• Organised, deadline-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Collaborative communicator comfortable working across global teams
