POSITION SUMMARY:



The Financial Manager is responsible for overseeing the finances of the organization in support of Avtron's overall business goals. The successful financial manager ensures the organization maintains adequate cash flow and liquidity through budgeting, accounting and financial planning. The Financial manager prepares reports on how well the organization is meeting its budget goals.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



Essential Functions:



Owns the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and ensures integrity of financial statements in compliance with IFRS as per defined schedule. Ensure adherence to company financial guidelines and policies. Develops accrual processes as well as control over journal entries to ensure accurate monthly financial reporting. Lead the balance sheet account reconciliation process during the close. Analytical review of balance sheet and research any accounting issues for compliance with IFRS Control and monitor the company's fixed asset system to assure that assets are properly recorded and safeguarded including physical verification of fixed assets. Serves as liaison to the external auditors; lead year-end audits, including preparing audit schedules and providing information at the auditor's request as per defined timelines. Ensures adequate internal controls and compliance, as well as assist with the establishment, development, implementation, adherence, and maintenance of internal controls to mitigate risks of material misstatements. Working with external tax firm to ensure proper planning and compliance for all Statutory tax reporting as well as coordinating annual audit. Manages and assists in the preparation of external audit and tax schedules. Ensures income tax filings are completed timely and manages quarterly payment requirements. Optimize cash balance through weekly liquidity forecasts as well as net working capital management. Responsible for lease capitalization entries and updates per IFRS 16

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



5+ years of financial roles in a manufacturing environment Experience leading financial audits Must be available on site a minimum of 2 days per week Ability to travel (5%)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



Education:



CIMA or advanced degree in accounting preferred

Proficiency in excel Proficiency in Microsoft 365 office applications * Comfort in gathering data from ERP systems (SAP, etc..)
