Duties



Lead the preparation and interpretation of financial statements, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS, IAS (International Accounting Standards), and other regulatory frameworks. Oversee corporate accounting functions such as general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable management, cost accounting, and account analysis to maintain precise financial records. Manage treasury functions including cash flow analysis, investment management, banking relationships, and risk mitigation strategies to optimize liquidity and financial stability. Develop and implement budgeting processes, financial forecasting models, and strategic planning initiatives to support organizational growth objectives. Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, and other relevant legal or industry-specific regulations. Conduct risk analysis assessments to identify potential financial vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies aligned with risk management best practices. Supervise cost control measures across departments to enhance profitability while maintaining quality standards. Lead the evaluation of financial software systems to streamline reporting processes and improve data accuracy. Prepare comprehensive financial reports for executive leadership and stakeholders; interpret complex financial data to inform decision-making. Oversee governmental accounting procedures where applicable, ensuring adherence to public sector standards. Drive continuous improvement in accounting procedures such as accrual accounting, bookkeepingsystems, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger management. Support business development efforts through financial analysis of new projects or investments; participate in strategic negotiations related to corporate finance initiatives. Manage compliance with all applicable regulations including risk management policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.

Experience



Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a senior financial leadership role within diverse sectors such as corporate or non-profit organizations. Extensive knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and strategic planning. Proficiency with advanced financial software platforms; experience with Xero, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is preferred. Excellent understanding of treasury management including cash flow optimization and investment strategies. Skilled in risk analysis techniques coupled with risk management practices to safeguard organizational assets. Strong communication skills for preparing detailed reports and presenting complex data clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Qualifications, Skills & Experience:



Professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification). Minimum 5+ years' experience in a senior finance role. Strong track record of financial control, compliance, and reporting in a multi-site business. You must also have solid Excel skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes (MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
