UK Phoenix Healthcare is a fast?growing, digital?first health and social care provider delivering supported living, complex care and home care services across the UK. We are looking for a proactive, hands?on Finance Manager to join our Head Office team in Tamworth and take day?to?day responsibility for the financial management of our services.

This is a key role supporting the senior leadership team, ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting and clear communication with colleagues across operations, HR and payroll.

Key Responsibilities

Lead day?to?day finance operations for UK Phoenix Healthcare Head Office and services. Act as the main point of contact for financial queries from managers and staff, providing timely, clear responses. Oversee the full purchase and sales ledger process, including invoice processing, approvals, reconciliations and payment runs. Manage payroll information flow (starters, leavers, hours, adjustments) and liaise with payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payments. Administer and monitor pension contributions and other statutory deductions in line with current legislation. Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L for each service line (supported living, complex care and domiciliary/home care). Produce regular financial forecasts, cashflow projections and variance analysis to support decision?making and growth plans. Support budgeting and re?forecasting cycles for Head Office and services, working closely with the COO and Registered/Service Managers. Maintain robust financial controls, reconciliations and audit trails, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies. Monitor and approve expenditure, ensuring accurate coding and cost allocation across services. Manage supplier relationships, including billing queries, credit control and debt management where required. Contribute to continuous improvement of finance systems, processes and reporting, supporting UK Phoenix's digital?first approach.

About You



Essential:



Experience in a Finance Manager / Management Accountant / Senior Finance Officer role, ideally within health & social care, care homes, supported living or a similar multi?site service environment. Strong understanding of core accounting principles, financial controls and management reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, forecasting). Confident working with high volumes of invoices, payroll data and multiple cost centres/services. Excellent communication skills - able to explain financial information clearly to non?finance colleagues and build positive relationships with managers and staff. High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. Advanced IT skills, including strong Excel and experience with accounting/finance systems. Discreet, professional and able to handle confidential information appropriately.
Desirable:

Experience in social care, supported living, complex care or domiciliary care finance. Part?qualified or fully qualified AAT / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent, or qualified by experience in a similar role. Experience producing service?level P&Ls and working with operational managers on budgets and forecasts.
