Job Overview


We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Manager who is looking for a new challenge to be an intrinsic part of a long standing and successful C.I.C in its for trading for profit to support its values and mission.

The successful candidate will be tasked with providing financial support to Engaging Communities Solutions CIC in terms of high-quality financial report, strong financial controls and creative commercial support.

Key Duties



Provision of robust accountancy and reporting. Building relationships with staff and external stakeholders. Contributing to the development of business plans. Providing commercial support to Chief Executive Officer. Statutory reporting. Support commercial appraisal of business opportunities and cost modelling

Operational Duties



Oversight of bookkeeping processes and procedures. Production of standard budget reports for easy assimilation by non-financial managers and service specific advisory board chairs. Development of costing models to aid financial evaluation of revenue growth, capital investment and tender bid modelling as we expand our portfolio of contract delivery. Maintenance of financial reporting processes to agreed timetables. Ensure that a robust financial control environment is consistently maintained with embedded risk management across the Company ensuring integrity of financial statements. Monitor and maintain cashflows and investments in accordance with Treasury Management policy. VAT returns. Developing and implementing financial strategies. Production of Board reports in accordance with the meeting schedule, including the preparation of key financial and operational data. Liaison with external auditors, banks, HMRC and other stakeholders. Production of annual accounts and other statutory returns meeting all statutory timetables. Compliance with all external audit, internal audit, HMRC and corporate governance requirements. Preparing and submitting the annual accounts, cash flow forecasts, working with the Chief Executive Officer to prepare and update annual financial frameworks and ensuring compliance with the Company's strategic and financial objectives. Ad-hoc project work/ reporting as required by the business. Preparation and maintenance of staff timesheets. Entering various transactions on Sage including payroll journals, monthly journals and recharges, sales invoices and bank transactions. Prepare payments schedule from Sage and create payments on bank for authorisation. Review of investment accounts at Insignis. Maintenance of sales contracts schedule. Reconciliation of bank accounts, liaising with the Customer Service Manager (CSM) to ensure all payments are identified and correctly processed. Liaising with CSM on annual insurance renewal.

Oversight of CSM:



o in maintaining and uploading financial transactions on accounts system, effective filing of records ensuring legal compliance.

o in production of sales invoices.

o in preparation of monthly payroll report for the payroll provider, liaising with same to ensure accurate production of payroll.

o in submitting monthly pension reports to Royal London.

o in submitting monthly information for Paycare.

Qualifications



Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or ACA or equivalent). 5 years post qualification experience. Experience of Sage 50 accounts package. Flexible approach and ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills. An organised and skilled finance professional with experience of managing their own workload. Resourceful and operates with integrity. Strong attention to detail and focused, with a strong commercial acumen. Experienced in all aspects of budget management, including accounting procedures and financial analysis. excellent numeracy and IT skills and proficiency in Sage and all Microsoft Office software, including advanced Excel, with a strong attention to detail. Experience of working in a Voluntary or Charity Sector. Experience of remote / online working. Experience of Sage Payroll.
