Typical Activities

Working in collaboration with internal stakeholders across Finance, Enterprise, and wider business functions, the Finance Manager will lead and support the financial operations of the UK business.

Provide leadership to the finance team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. Develop effective working relationships with senior stakeholders and act as a trusted financial advisor. Ensure financial controls, systems and processes are maintained and continuously improved. Oversee monthly management accounts, forecasting, and variance analysis. Manage VAT, WHT and other financial compliance requirements. Oversee credit control and purchase ledger activities. Oversee payroll and pension administration and associated compliance. Support project accounting, revenue recognition and project performance monitoring. Contribute to system and process transformation initiatives. Promote knowledge sharing, innovation and continuous improvement.

Highly organised with strong analytical thinking and attention to detail. Confident communicator with the ability to explain financial information clearly. Demonstrated experience overcoming technical, procedural or people-related challenges. Proactive and solutions-oriented, with a willingness to challenge the status quo. Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of deliverables. Flexible, adaptable and open to new systems, processes and ways of working. Strong commercial awareness and ability to contribute at a senior level. Positive, enthusiastic approach and commitment to integrity and professionalism.

Desirable

Experience working in a secure, technology or IT-focused environment. Knowledge of IFRS/FRS 101 reporting standards. Familiarity with project-based revenue recognition methodologies. Experience with system transformation or finance process improvement. Understanding of UK Government or Defence sector environments.

Qualifications & Eligibility

To be eligible for this position you must:

Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with at least 5 years in a senior finance role; and, Be a British citizen; and

- Hold or be eligible for UK National Security Vetting (NSV) -

SC

level clearance.
