XYZ Machine Tools LTD, founded in 1984, is the largest machine tool supplier in the UK, selling over 25,000 CNC machines a year. XYZ supply a range of CNC metal working machines including lathes, milling machines. We also hold ISO 9001 and ISO14001 quality and environmental accreditations. We have a modern 98,000 sq ft facility Situated 5 minutes from the M5 (J27) easily accessible from Taunton, Wellington, Tiverton and Exeter.

Job Role

To take responsibility for the day-to-day activities within the finance team, provide financial support / information and analysis to the business to enable relevant commercial and operational decisions to be made.

Working as part of the management team, you will be a key person in offering an overview of the company's finances with inputs from budgets, manufacturing, currency, VAT and Tax requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, develop, coordinate the accounting team + Support the annual statutory audit and accounts preparation Production of accurate and high-quality monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow. Preparation of budgets and forecasts in collaboration with budget holders across the business Assist with the preparation of the year-end financial statements and audit files, supporting the audit process. Produce relevant financial information as required to support decision making Customer and credit risk management. Ensure compliance with all legal financial requirements Ensure the Business Control principles are respected Ownership of providing monthly forecasts and yearly budgets as well as other financial reports/presentations.

What you will need

You'll be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with up to 3 years of post-qualification experience. Newly qualified candidates are welcome. You'll bring:

Strong technical accounting knowledge and advanced Excel skills Strong communication and relationship building skills. Ability to work under pressure. Excellent analytical ability A proactive approach and passion for process improvement Confidence in explaining financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders Experience working within a Finance team within a manufacturing environment. Experience of ERP Systems (Microsoft Business Central Preferred)

Pay: 50,000.00-60,000.00 per year
