Job Description

Imperium Commodity Search is working with the UK based trading division of an international metals company who have been trading base metal products into niche markets across the globe for over 10 years. They are currently looking for dynamic individual to join their finance team in London.
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Interact on a daily basis with our banks and Credit insurance provider with regards to stock financing, in and out of warehouse, or on the water.
• Maintaining cash and credit balances and moving cash around if necessary to cover balances.
• Regularly check and update customer credit insurance cover to ensure maximum usage of the line.
• Handle day to day payments to suppliers and service providers as well as ensuring correct customer invoicing and chasing unpaid invoices if necessary.
• Some knowledge of using a centralized software package would be useful, but not essential.
• Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly cash flow forecasts to be presented to management for discussion.
• Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts to be presented and discussed with management.
• Manage requests and queries from traders and logistics departments.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years' working within the finance sector
• Solid experience handling finance matters
• Good understanding of commodity markets and familiarity with international trade.
• University degree in relevant discipline demonstrating ability to learn & apply knowledge quickly.
• Willing to work as part of a smaller, collaborative team
• Knowledge of modern software solutions is a plus
• Located in London, UK or willing to relocate - must hold full right to work in UK without sponsorship
• Fluent in English, additional languages a bonus
