This is a dynamic and varied position supporting the CFO in overseeing day-to-day financial operations across the UK, US and Europe, and assistance in wider management accounts duties. The role requires a strong focus on technical ability, accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all finance processes. Key Responisbilities
Assist in preparing accurate monthly management accounts (later leading to full ownership)
Ensure all financial data is recorded correctly within the accounting system and complies with internal policies, particularly around cost of sales and cost allocation
Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely reconciliation and effective credit control
Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely reconciliation and produce payment proposals
Balance sheet reconciliations
Assist in finalising year-end accounts for submission to external accountants.
VAT and sales tax returns
Support and develop improvements in financial processes.
Strengthen financial reporting systems, streamlining processes for improved delivery, accuracy and efficiency.
Monitor costs, including contract renewals, ensuring all information is current and accurate.
Produce financial reports, budgets, and analysis as requested by senior leadership.
Process BACS payments and assist with payroll when required.
Support the maintenance of budgetary and financial systems across the organisation.
Contribute to meetings, development activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide administrative support, handle enquiries and general office duties if required.
About You:
Experience in all areas of finance as a Management Accountant or Finance Manager
Minimum QBE or part qualified accountant.
Highly proficient across systems in general, however key focus on Excel & Google Sheets - you will be comfortable building robust reports, interrogating numbers, spotting trends and anomalies, and turning data into meaningful insight for the business.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand how reporting efficiencies can be made using modern day integration tools.
