Summary
We are looking for an energetic, dynamic, and versatile Finance Manager to join our growing finance team. This is a key role for someone who is not only technically strong but also an expert at guiding and developing others, with the ability to drive accuracy, efficiency, and insight across the business.
Key Responsibilities
As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparation of month-end management accounts and reporting
, providing expert financial insights to senior leadership.
Timely execution of month-end tasks
, guiding and mentoring our young and motivated finance team.
Posting journals in Xero
and ensuring accurate ledger entries across cost centres.
Partnering with
Heads of Departments (HoDs)
to ensure costs are captured correctly and consistently.
Performing
monthly balance sheet reconciliations
with precision and attention to detail.
Supporting the Accounts Payable team with payments and invoice processing.
Assisting with
year-end audit tasks
and liaising with external auditors.
Preparing and submitting
VAT returns
(experience with
CIS submissions
is highly desirable).
Acting as the
right-hand expert to the Financial Controller
, providing critical support and stepping up when required.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should bring both technical expertise and a collaborative mindset:
Minimum 2 years of proven experience in finance roles (accounting, reporting, or management accounting).
Strong analytical ability with attention to detail.
Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel; experience in Xero is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
A hands-on, "can-do" attitude, willing to take on a variety of tasks to ensure the finance function runs seamlessly.
