Summary



We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Officer to join our team in Bath. This vital role involves managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting our mission to serve children and families effectively.

Responsibilities



Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections. Maintain accurate financial records using sage accounting software. Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial reports for management. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and charity accounting standards. Assist with audits and prepare necessary documentation. Collaborate with team members to improve financial procedures. Support pay roll Manage debtors. Handle data entry tasks related to financial transactions.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Finance Officer or similar role within the charity or social enterprise sector. Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage. Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial reporting. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills. Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate financial records. Knowledge of charity finance regulations is preferred.
