You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end processes, and ensuring compliance with UK financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records using
QuickBooks
and
Sage 50 Accounts
Process purchase and sales invoices, credit notes, and staff expenses
Perform bank reconciliations and manage petty cash
Assist with VAT returns and payroll processing
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Prepare financial reports and assist with audits
Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders as needed
Requirements:
Essential:
Proven experience in a similar finance or accounting role
Proficiency in
QuickBooks
and
Sage
(Sage 50 preferred)
Strong understanding of UK accounting principles and VAT regulations
Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Desirable:
AAT Level 3 or above (or equivalent qualification)
Experience in the charity or SME sector
Familiarity with payroll systems and procedures
