VANRATH are pleased to be working alongside a Carrick based charity who are a key pillar in their community as they look for a finance assistant to join their team. Due to recent growth within the organisation, they require additional resource within their finance team to assist during a busy period.

About you

If you are interest in being a Part Time Finance Officer and are available to join a non profit organisation to assist during a busy period the following would be suitable qualities:

A BTEC/ NVQ Level 3 or Degree level qualification in finance, bookkeeping, accounting, economics or business management AND 2 years paid experience in a finance administration role OR 5 years paid experience in a finance administration role
  • Experience of budget management and financial reporting to funding/ commissioning bodies
  • Highly developed administrative skills, including computer literacy, excellent attention to detail/ accuracy, an ability to appropriately handle confidential information and a record of organising priorities to meet deadlines
What you\'ll do

As a Finance Officer you will be:
  • Responsible for maintaining sound financial and accounting systems and controls.
  • Performing day to day financial accounting tasks, providing data for report preparation for budgeting, financial accounting and reporting to funding bodies.
  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of financial policy and procedures for the organisation.
  • Keep up to date with statutory regulations, guidelines and best practice for the financial management of charities, ensuring that the Executive Officer and Board are properly advised of their statutory responsibilities
