The Russell IPM Group is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our Accounts Department. This full-time role offers variety and the chance to grow, with a main focus on accounts receivable and revenue reporting. The role also includes involvement in cost-saving and sustainability initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Accounts Receivable & Financial Reporting
Carry out month-end and year-end sales ledger reconciliations across the group.
Update and maintain weekly and monthly revenue KPIs, covering subsidiary and group-level turnover, along with trend analysis.
Assist with the production of management accounts through accurate reconciliations and reporting.
Manage credit control processes and communicate with customers and internal teams when required.
Prepare and submit reconciliations for external funding reports.
Projects & Sustainability
Support or lead cost-saving projects with other departments.
Take part in sustainability-related work, such as carbon footprint calculations and meeting internal and external reporting requirements.
Act as a sustainability advocate within the finance team, helping to drive continuous improvements.
Development & Cross-Training
In the first 6-12 months, you'll receive structured training across various finance areas to help you support other team members during holidays or busy periods, and to build your knowledge of the department as a whole.
After 12 months, you'll have opportunities for further development, including training in new areas and dedicated study time to work towards professional qualifications, depending on business needs and performance.
The Ideal Candidate
Experience or qualifications in accounts receivable, credit control, or general finance.
Comfortable working with large data sets and able to produce clear, accurate reports using Excel and/or finance software.
Shows initiative, attention to detail, and can handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Keen to learn and grow in a supportive team environment.
Holds AAT Level 4 or above
What We Offer
Salary:
30,000 - 33,000 depending on experience
