Reporting to the Directors and Executive Business Manager, the Finance Officer will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems. Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
oMaintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
oPrepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts.
oManage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and resolution of discrepancies.
Budgeting & Reporting:
oAssist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
oGenerate and analyse financial reports, providing insights to support decision-making.
oMonitor financial transactions to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
Audit & Compliance:
oSupport internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
oEnsure compliance with UK financial regulations, including tax filings, VAT, and payroll.
Payroll Management:
oProcess monthly payroll, including deductions, pensions, and statutory payments.
oAddress employee queries regarding payroll and benefits.
Systems & Process Improvement:
oAssist in developing and maintaining financial systems and procedures.
oIdentify and implement opportunities for process efficiency and cost savings.
