Financial Services, part of Finance and Customer Services directorate, have recently undergone a tender process to procure a new financial information management system, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Budget Setting/Monitoring and Reporting.

Reporting to the Principal Finance Officer (Projects-Finance), the post holder will work with current Finance and Procurement staff and other project team members during the implementation of the new financial information management system and will be responsible for requirements scoping and user acceptance testing activities across the various workstreams of the new system. The post holder will focus on specific areas/modules within the system and become the subject matter expert for that area. They will also be required to gain an understanding of the other areas of the system to provide cover as required.

The subject areas/modules are likely to be:

General Ledger (capital, treasury, budget monitoring, budget setting, chart of accounts) Procurement, Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliation, Taxation Financial Reporting - will feature across all areas of the system


The new system implementation project is estimated to last around 2 years, after which, the post holder will work within Finance and Customer Services on other projects, programmes and major change initiatives as required.
