SCP 31-34 (40,391-43,995) per annum

Contract:

Fixed term until 31 October 2026

Work pattern:

35 hours per week, worked Monday to Friday

Location:

Agile Home-Based Worker with travel to Wheatley Group offices when required

About the role




The main purpose of the Finance Officer (Reconciliations - Balance Sheet) role is the effective, efficient and accurate maintenance of the balance sheets including monthly reconciliation of assigned key balance sheet accounts.


The post holder will report to the Financial Accountant Reconciliations and will be responsible for following up and resolving reconciling differences timeously. Ensuring continuous process improvements, the post holder will also support the wider Financial Reporting team and will assist in external Scottish Housing Regulator annual accounts submissions as required.


The post also includes any additional duties that are necessary to maintain integrity and reconciliation of the financial ledgers

Who are we looking for?




The ideal candidate will have strong IT knowledge and experience of general ledger work within a large company, along with a practical understanding of management accounting principles and techniques.


The ideal candidate should also be able to demonstrate experience of managing a challenging workload in a busy environment to meet all deadlines, as well as excellent customer service. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential.
