We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer to provide accountancy support to the Financial Controller and be responsible for the day-to-day management of company financial transactions and procedures.

1. Timely Financial Reporting and Analysis of Company Performance
2. Company Payroll within strict deadlines
3. Ledger Maintenance to include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger
4. Financial Compliance and Internal Audits
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts to draft level
Assist with budget preparation
Drafting ad hoc reports to identify results, trends and forecasts
Processing monthly payroll for shop, factory and head office employees
Assist with HR administrative tasks to ensure compliance with UK employment law
Process supplier invoices and maintenance of AP Ledger to include scheduling of payment runs in accordance with supplier payment terms
Record customer payments and maintenance of AR Ledger to include monthly statement runs and monitoring of aged debt
Bank reconciliations including Paypal and Credit Card Control Accounts
Balance Sheet reconciliations to include fixed assets, stock, accruals & prepayments
Prepare draft VAT return for review and sign off by the financial controller
Assist with year-end statutory accounts preparation
Participate in financial audits including annual FSC audit
Assist with company internal control procedures and adherence to controls through scheduled program of internal audits
Qualifications and skills
Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
excellent organisational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks
Experience using financial software
Advanced MS Excel skills
Knowledge of financial regulations
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
ACCA Part qualified or similar desirable
