We are a growing skincare manufacturer and brand, based on the outskirts of Bath.
We're looking for an experienced

Finance & Operational Costs Manager

to take ownership of financial planning, cost control, and operational efficiency. This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on financial management -- ensuring we stay lean, compliant, and profitable.

What You'll Do

Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, costings and financial strategies. Monitor operational expenses and implement cost-control measures. Manage day-to-day

bookkeeping

and ensure accurate financial records. Oversee

credit control

to maintain healthy cash flow. Challenge

procurement decisions

using data on inventory and stock levels. Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Working with HR and external payroll company to produce monthly payroll submissions. Preparing income statements, balance sheets & Year End Documents. Handle

quarterly VAT returns

and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Work with department heads to ensure efficient resource allocation. Support strategic decision-making with data-driven insights.

What We're Looking For

Hands on expereince is essential. If you have a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA/CIMA preferred) and/or have completed AAT then that'sa bonus. 5+ years' experience in financial management, including operational cost control. Strong bookkeeping and credit control expertise. Proficiency in financial software (Xero) and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities.
