This is a maternity leave cover position
, responsible for preparing monthly management accounts for the Group and ensuring all financial and administrative processes are completed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review daily bank reports and complete monthly bank reconciliations
Manage cash flow forecasting
Enter and authorise payments through the online banking portal
Assist with purchase ledger invoice coding
Produce sales ledger transaction reports, identify anomalies, and make corrections
Reconcile vehicle debtor and creditor reports
Reconcile vehicle sales to internal sales logs
Maintain monthly wage spreadsheets, including data entry from the In Time System
Prepare commission payments for sales staff
Produce intercompany sundry invoices and monthly intercompany transaction reports for Head Office
Prepare P&L "first looks," monthly accounts, and KPI reports
Submit P&L and monthly accounts to Head Office in the required format
Provide information and reports to the Group Finance Director as requested
Reconcile all Balance Sheet codes and Trial Balance monthly, including corrections
Post monthly depreciation journals for fixed assets and company vehicles
Manage monthly credit card payments and reconciliations
Assist in preparing annual budgets for Director approval
Prepare year-end accounts and liaise with auditors for statutory account preparation
Complete quarterly VAT returns
Close monthly accounting periods on the DMS Pinnacle system
Provide cover for staff during periods of annual leave
Undertake basic HR administration, including preparing new starter packs
Maintain staff leave records (Who's Off) and training records for Health & Safety compliance
Assist the General Manager with HR meeting notes and other administrative duties as required
Requirements
Proven experience in accounting or finance within a similar role
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Hours:
Full Time - Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: 32,000.00-40,000.00 per year
