We're hiring: Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner:

LMA is one of the UK's fastest growing creative institutions, supporting students across our Liverpool and London campuses. We're on the lookout for a dynamic Finance Business Partner to join our vibrant, fast-paced environment and play a pivotal role in shaping our financial future.

As a key partner to our small but dynamic finance team, you'll deliver sharp financial insights, drive performance, and help steer strategic decisions that support our students and fuel our creative vision. We are a growing business, and so the role is wide ranging, from purchase ledger and preparing the accounts, to analysing them too.

This role is ideal for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) who thrives on collaboration, enjoys turning data into stories, and is excited by the idea of making a real impact in education and the creative industries.

Duties:



Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary. Deliver regular financial performance reports to key stakeholders across the university. Monitor key financial metrics, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions as needed. Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts in collaboration with department heads. Provide expert guidance to non-finance staff on budget preparation and management. Conduct financial appraisals for new and ongoing projects, ensuring value for money. Support cost-saving initiatives and advise on optimising resource allocation. Translate financial data into actionable insights to support strategic and operational decisions. Enhance and streamline financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Skills

and Experience



Ideally fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) (Would consider part qualified) Proven experience in management accounting, preferably in the education or creative sectors. Strong analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel. High levels of integrity and openness, combined with commitment to good governance. Hands-on mentality with a flexible approach to work. Energetic and highly motivated. Willingness and ability to travel between our Liverpool and London campus.
