The Russell IPM Group are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance & Purchasing Administrator to join our Accounts Department on a fixed-term contract (9-12 months) to cover maternity leave. This role supports both finance and purchasing functions and plays a key role in ensuring smooth coordination between internal teams and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Purchasing & Operations Support:
Act as a key liaison between the operations team and suppliers to manage purchasing needs, priorities, and urgencies.
Raise and send purchase orders based on operational requirements.
Track and chase supplier order acknowledgments and delivery dates to ensure timely receipt of goods.
Communicate regularly with suppliers to resolve issues and maintain strong working relationships.
Accounts Payable:
Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
Reconcile supplier statements using accounting software.
Process employee expenses and company credit card transactions.
Prepare payment schedules for authorisation and assist with payment execution.
Respond to supplier queries and follow up on outstanding payment matters.
General Administration:
Support with general finance-related admin tasks, such as scanning, filing, and data input, as required.
Support the Customer Care team with administration duties, such as order processing, customer communication, scanning, filing and input, as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience in both finance and purchasing or supply chain support roles.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with operations staff and external suppliers.
Organised and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to solving problems.
Confident working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Reliable, flexible, and willing to adapt to business needs.
Additional Information:
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Day shift)
Salary: 13.05 per hour
