Are you a qualified accountant with a passion for technology?
Do you thrive on improving systems and streamlining processes?
Ready to lead exciting finance transformation projects in a collaborative, and proactive environment?
If so, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
We're looking for a Systems Accountant to join our Finance Systems Team (FST), a key function responsible for the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our financial systems, including the Aderant Practice Management System.
Reporting to the Finance Systems Manager, you will play a pivotal role in modernising our finance function - leading system upgrades, enhancing reporting capabilities, and driving automation initiatives. You will work closely with stakeholders across Finance and Technology to ensure our systems are efficient, secure, and aligned with the firm's strategic goals.
Enhancing Systems & Processes:
Identify and implement improvements to financial systems and processes, reducing manual effort and improving data quality.
Managing Financial Systems:
Oversee the operation and upgrades of our financial systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
Reporting & Analysis:
Develop and improve financial reports and dashboards using SQL and SSRS.
Training & Support
: Deliver training and second-line support to ensure effective system use across the firm.
What We're Looking For
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong accounting knowledge.
Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment.
Technical expertise in financial systems (Aderant preferred), SQL, and data analysis.
Strong communicator with a collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery.
We embrace a hybrid working model that offers flexibility and supports a healthy work-life balance. Our hybrid working approach allows you to work from home, subject to business needs, with most people spending 40% to 60% of their time in the office.
You'll be part of a supportive, innovative team that values continuous improvement and empowers you to make a real impact. We offer a flexible working environment, professional development opportunities, and the chance to work on meaningful projects that shape the future of our finance operations.
Ready to Apply?
Before you do, consider these:
Can you deliver system upgrades and identify inefficiencies to deliver system-led solutions?
Can you work effectively with finance, IT, and non-finance teams to support the business?
Are you seeking opportunities to participate in key projects that support our business goals?
If these questions excite you, we'd love to see your application.
