Join us as a Finance Systems and Transformation Manager at Thirteen Group!
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Finance Systems and Transformation Manager to lead the maintenance, optimisation and improvements of our finance systems and processes the across our Finance function. This is a pivotal role, driving the adoption of automation and digital tools to improve efficiency, resilience and accessibility, while ensuring strong financial controls are maintained.
Working closely with IT, transformation colleagues, finance leaders and external partners, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering future-focused finance solutions that support better decision making and deliver clear value for money.
This is a hybrid role, so you'll work mainly from home and at least one day a week from our fantastic office at Hudson Quay in Middlesbrough. We'll need you to be flexible around business and team need, so you may need to come into the office more frequently when required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating and delivering the finance transformation roadmap, ensuring initiatives are prioritised and resourced effectively.
  • Optimising finance systems, processes and ways of working to improve efficiency, accuracy and accessibility.
  • Working collaboratively with finance leaders and business partners to ensure transformation activity aligns with organisational priorities.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operation, maintenance and improvement of finance systems, ensuring the effectiveness of financial controls.
  • Partnering with IT, transformation teams and external technology providers to scope and deliver future finance system requirements.
  • Identifying and embedding automation and digital tools to improve finance service delivery.
  • Acting as the centre of expertise for finance transformation, ensuring change delivers tangible benefits.
  • Delivering training, coaching and support to finance colleagues to embed new systems, processes and ways of working.
About You:
  • A recognised accounting qualification or have significant demonstrable relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting and delivering finance change and improvement projects, including systems and process transformation.
  • Proven experience of leading teams with a focus on holistic service delivery and customer experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of finance systems and technology to support effective service delivery.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex problems and manage change effectively.
  • The ability to coach, develop and inspire colleagues.
