About the role
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Finance & Systems Associate to join our expanding team. This newly created part-time role is ideal for someone with strong technical accounting skills who enjoys a varied workload, including financial analysis, systems support, and ad hoc project work. Working closely with the CFO and small finance team, you will manage financial processes, reporting and analysis whilst also developing expertise in our ERP system.
Key Responsibilities
Review accounting entries.
Manage balance sheet, ledger and control account reconciliations and supporting spreadsheets.
Post nominal ledger journals, including prepayments, work in progress and suspense account.
Financial analysis, KPI reporting, report writing and spreadsheets.
Collate data for tax returns, cost analysis, audit inspections and insurance policies.
Manage commission payments.
Manage utility bills and associated analysis and reporting.
Develop a strong understanding of our ERP system to become a proficient user.
Rollout and ongoing management of SharePoint.
Keep up to date with regulations to support compliance, particularly in relation to finance, payroll and VAT.
Participate in ad hoc projects as required.
About You
Part-qualified (or qualified) accountant with several years' experience in a finance or accounting function.
Previous experience using accounting software or ERP systems.
Advanced Excel skills.
A flexible, helpful, and team-focused approach.
Comfortable managing both routine tasks and ad hoc project work.
What we offer
A competitive salary, circa 27,000 for 20 hours per week (based on 48,000 FTE).
A 20 hour working week, Monday-Friday, 9am-1pm (we may be able to consider some flexibility on the working pattern).
Based at our Epping office, with free parking provided.
25 days holiday, rising to 28 days with service, plus public holidays.
