Interim Finance Systems Consultant
? Location: Glasgow (Hybrid)
? Contract: 6-Month Interim (Potential for Extension)

About the Opportunity
A dynamic and expanding multi-site organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Systems Consultant to lead and support the implementation of several finance-related systems. This interim role is ideal for someone with a strong background in SME finance transformation, systems migration, and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of a financial reporting and analytics tool integrated with Xero.
  • Drive the rollout of an associate pay system and a procure-to-pay (P2P) solution across multiple sites.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure systems align with operational and strategic goals.
  • Ensure data consistency and usability across platforms to support decision-making.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning processes.
  • Advise on system selection, configuration, and testing.
  • Evaluate and compare potential solutions that integrate with Xero.
  • Help define and enforce procurement processes to improve supplier consistency and cost control.
  • Enable management information (MI) reporting to identify performance trends.
Ideal Candidate
  • Proven experience in finance system implementation within SME or multi-site environments.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and data management principles.
  • Experience with Xero and integrated tools
  • Background in implementing P2P systems and payroll solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple workstreams.
  • Strategic mindset with a consultancy approach.
Additional Information
  • This role is offered outside IR35 on a day-rate basis.
  • Candidates with broader system implementation experience (e.g., PMS systems) may be considered for additional support roles.
  • Interviews are expected to begin mid-September, with onboarding ideally in early October.
