The Finance Systems (Infor SunSystems) Specialist is responsible for comanaging and supporting planned structural and process updates to the Company's existing Sun finance system, including the development and configuration of accounts and related products. The role ensures all system changes comply with best-practice financial controls, comprehensive documentation of processes and controls is maintained, and training and assistance are provided to users of the system.
The position involves supporting account reconciliations, coordinating integrations with other systems and third-party providers, and creating or updating Infor Q&A reports and business rules. Within a SOX-compliant framework, the role serves as an important link between finance, technology, and operational teams, helping ensure systems run smoothly and efficiently. The Company also intends to migrate the Company's SunSystems product to a Cloud solution and this work would form a second stage project which, if undertaken, could extend the role beyond the initial period.
The Finance Systems (Infor SunSystems) Specialist is a fixed-term role and reports to the Finance Systems Manager.
Responsibilities:
Manage sub-projects and provide support for SUN System updates to meet evolving business requirements on a timely basis.
Develop and configure SUN Accounts and related products to support business operations.
Ensure all configuration changes adhere to best-practice financial controls.
Document support processes, workflows, and control procedures.
Assist with account reconciliations prior to balance transfers.
Collaborate with system owners and third-party providers to manage integrations.
Create, update, and rebuild Infor Q&A reports to meet reporting needs.
Review existing business rules and create new rules as required.
Requirements:
Experience with SUN Systems 6.4.
Analysing an existing finance system to identify improvements and efficiencies.
SUN Systems administration experience, including:
+ Maintenance of static data.
+ Business unit administration.
+ Ledger setup.
+ Transfer desk operations.
+ Business rule configuration.
+ User set up and user rights management.
+ API and/or other forms of data integration with SunSystems. Strong transactional accounting knowledge.
Experience of training and assisting other system users through the change process.
Strong understanding of what makes a good financial process or control, and how these can be optimally set up within and when using SunSystems.
Experience with cloud migration projects.
Understanding of SOX compliance requirements.
