We are seeking a proactive and delivery-focused
Project Manager
to lead the Planning & Forecasting workstream within our Finance Transformation programme. This role will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of improved planning and forecasting processes that enhance financial insight, agility, and strategic decision-making across the organisation.
The post holder will work closely with the Finance Transformation Lead, Reporting and Right First Time workstream managers, and wider finance teams to review current planning cycles, identify inefficiencies, and implement standardised, forward-looking forecasting tools and methodologies. A key focus will be on improving budget setting, reforecasting, and scenario planning capabilities, while embedding a culture of proactive financial planning.
This role will lead the scoping and implementation of a new planning and forecasting software solution, working in close collaboration with IT and Finance Leadership to ensure strategic alignment and successful delivery.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong project management skills, stakeholder engagement, and a deep understanding of financial planning. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving transformation, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and delivering measurable improvements in forecasting accuracy and responsiveness.

About you:
The successful candidate will be a highly experienced finance professional, likely with a solid background in financial management within the charitable or not-for-profit sector. They would combine technical financial expertise with strategic insight and operational competence.
This ideal individual would be confident using complex finance systems such as
NetSuite or similar ERP platforms
, and would demonstrate
advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
. They would be meticulous, with a strong understanding of
month-end processes, journal accuracy, data governance, and audit compliance
.
They would possess proven
project management skills
, particularly in leading finance-related change initiatives and engaging effectively with stakeholders across all levels of an organisation. Their
commercial and financial awareness
would enable them to make informed, pragmatic decisions that balance financial prudence with organisational goals.
